How these guides are created and reviewed
A public record of who writes, how sources are used, where AI assisted, and why dates are never invented.
The goal is to help families understand the timer and prepare better questions for their care team—not to publish content for volume.
Responsibility and authorship
Santiago directs the product and is named as the journal author. Personal experience is presented as family and product experience, never as clinical expertise.
Sources and medical claims
Health claims are checked against primary sources and recognized medical authorities, with direct links and a visible review date. Content identifies when a pattern is general guidance and when an individual care plan should take priority.
Artificial-intelligence assistance
The current journal was developed with AI assistance under Santiago’s direction. AI helped with drafting, working translation, and three original illustrations. Medical claims were checked against linked sources; no article claims clinical review.
Dates, updates, and publishing pace
The publication date records when a page became public. The updated date changes only after a substantive review. Retrospectives clearly separate the period being described from the publication date. New articles will be published when they provide real value, not to fill a calendar.
Corrections
If you find an error, use the feedback form. Material corrections should update the text, review date, and—when useful to readers—make the nature of the change clear.
